THE BLACK JEWEL SELECTION
Smelts
Regular price
$5.99
Product weight: Approximately 1 LB
Description
One of the reasons smelts are considered a delicious fish is their unique, mildly sweet flavor. Their flesh is tender and light, with a subtle hint of nuttiness, which makes them highly versatile in culinary applications. Smelts can be prepared in a variety of ways, including frying, baking, and broiling, and they are often served whole due to their small size. When fried, their skin becomes pleasingly crisp, adding a delightful texture contrast to the tender meat within.
Another factor contributing to their appeal is their nutritional profile. Smelts are a good source of protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and various vitamins and minerals, including vitamin D, B vitamins, and phosphorus. These nutrients are essential for maintaining heart health, bone strength, and overall well-being, making smelts not only tasty but also a healthy dietary choice.
We offer nationwide shipping and pickup at 2749 Ocean Avenue, Brooklyn. Shipping options and charges are shown at checkout. Contact us for help arranging your order.
